Good morning peoples.

A relatively mild start to the day in FMM, with overcast skies and the temp is hovering around -1. LLB is also overcast and -1 and Edmonton is sitting at 0 with cloudy skies.

This morning, Hwy 63 is mostly just wet, with a few snow drifts on the shoulders. From FMM to Marianna Lake, you can expect some snow covered and slippery conditions, so please adjust your drive accordingly. Over on Hwy 881, is does appear that it has more snow covered and slippery sections than not, but given the relatively warmer weather, I do not thing those conditions will last long. BTW, no matter where you're heading today, I'd bring an extra jug of washer fluid if I were you.

That's all for this morning folks, please use this thread to keep each other up to date as to the current conditions. If you see anything really gnarly out there and wanna send a pic, you can email it to, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Good morning folks. Sorry for the extended absence, but I think it's safe to say, we could be in for an icy winter. Now, on with the show.

Hwy 63 on the southern portion appears to be fair to good winter driving condition,  but the northern setion, towards FMM, appears to be a little more dodgy. You will encounter some slippery sections, but if you adjust your speed, your trip should be ok. Fog may be an issue as well. There are several fog advisories for Edmonton and surrounding communities. Hwy 881 is a little more dicy. 511 is showing 881 has some snow covered and slipper sections between FMM and LLB, so either way, use caution when driving out there today.

Stay safe, drive to the conditions and remeber

Good morning folks and sorry for the late posting this morning…

In Edmonton this morning there is some light flurries falling and the current tempo is -6, -9 with the wind and the snow should stop around 1:00pm. FMM is currently -18 with mostly cloudy skies although, the sun is expected to poke through at some point. LLB is -11 and is overcast. Some light flurries are expected a little later.

Hwy 63 is in fair winter driving this morning folks… There are some snow covered and slippery sections to contend with and the snowy conditions stretch from just south of FMM all the way into Edmonton, so please adjust your driving accordingly. Hwy 881 is the better of the two routes so far, but that can and likely will change. Please plan your commute accordingly.

That’s all for this morning folks. Please use this thread to keep each other up to date as to the current conditions of where you are at.

Stay safe, drive to the conditions and remember…

Someone is expecting you home tonight.
